Finnell’s Floor Finishings is owned by Bob Finnell, Jim Davis, and Scott Bates—a hands-on team that values doing the job right and treating people well.

Bob Finnell

Bob proudly served in the United States Air Force for four and a half years before working his way into the flooring industry. He has been in the industry for over 30 years and has served customers all over Ohio. For 28 of those years, he has been the owner and installer of Bob Finnell’s Hardwood Floors, in addition to owning many other small businesses. Bob is a respected individual known for his exceptional customer service by going above and beyond to provide the best results. He is also known for being an active member in the community, as well as a family man. Bob brings decades of flooring experience to assist our customers in making the best decisions with the floors in their home. He enjoys helping customers make confident choices and takes pride in clean, well-finished work from start to final walkthrough.

Jim Davis

Jim has been providing sales and service to the porcelain and ceramic tile industry for the past 30+ years. He started his career as an installer in the late ’80s and has held several key positions to the present; Sales rep and local center manager for a global and domestic tile manufacturer and distributor, Regional Rep for a USA porcelain tile manufacturer rep agency focusing on the same industry. Jim provides his relationship and business building experience to Finnell’s Floor Finishings as a consultant to establish and grow our hard surfaces division. Jim is known for clear communication and reliable scheduling—so you always know what to expect. He works closely with the team to keep projects moving smoothly and to deliver results that look great and last.

Scott Bates

Scott brings over 25 years of retail sales and marketing experience to Finnell’s Floor Finishings. He is a professional with a solid record of success in both direct customer sales and sales team management, most recently as the CEO of multi-million dollar retail showroom. Scott helps create a welcoming in-store experience—guiding customers through options, keeping displays and merchandising sharp, and supporting promotions that help tell the Finnell’s story.

Renae Pryor

As showroom manager, Renae helps customers compare styles, understand performance differences, and choose materials with confidence. She also supports our marketing and manages our social media—sharing new arrivals, project inspiration, and helpful tips. Behind the scenes, she coordinates ordering and scheduling so your project stays on track.
